Thought Work: Reframing & Negative Self-Talk

What this looks like

Anxiety often sounds like a harsh inner voice narrating everything you do wrong before you've even done it. It can show up as all-or-nothing thinking (if it's not perfect, it's a failure), catastrophizing (assuming the worst outcome is the likely one), or a running loop of what if that won't let you rest. This can also overlap with high-functioning depression, where you're still showing up and getting things done, but feel flat, numb, or disconnected underneath it.

How I can help

This work starts with noticing those thoughts as they happen, in real time, not just talking about them after the fact. From there, we look at where the pattern came from and what it's actually trying to protect you from. Using tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), we build a practical way to challenge the thought and create space between it and your reaction, so it stops running the show. You'll leave sessions with tools you can actually use that week, not just insight.

What changes over time

Clients notice the inner voice softening. Not gone entirely, but quieter, and easier to talk back to. Decisions start to feel less like a minefield and more like a choice you're allowed to make.
